Who Knows The Genuine Will of God?

Do you know what God wills for you?

Who knows God’s will?

Hello šŸ˜Š

How have you been?  I had an interesting conversation with someone recently. As we discussed, the topic began to change slightly.

It was about how life happens to us most times. How we tend to accept things that come our way even when we wish some of them never happened.

They were of the strong opinion that praying for “God’s will” can be a form of weakness. More like a hopeless prayer.

People ought to know what they desire and ask God for it specifically.

Like you need to ask for:

  • What you want.
  • Be specific.

Personally, I haven’t seen it that way although I can understand their views.

I would normally think it means you know God’s will is always the best.

Then, we all know that we don’t even know what God wills for us.

There are things we need badly and they are yet to happen regardless of how often we have asked God for them.

Then again, God’s will happens regardless of whether we ask for them or not.

Do we even know God’s will for us ā€¦?

We learn everyday.

I guess we need to be very specific most times as He will always do His will.

One of the responses I got from a priest reads:

“No, I don’t think prayer governs God. Instead, prayer makes us to be disposed of God’s will. If our will aligns with God’s will, our petition goes our way. If our will is contrary to God’s will, God’s will happens. Prayer makes us to accept God’s will that is contrary to our will without much complaint. This does not mean that we cannot have a particular or specific intention in prayer.

Remember the prayer of Jesus at the garden of Gestimany (Luke 22:42), which should serve as our model of prayer. Jesus’ particular intention was that the father should take the cup of suffering away. However He ended by saying, not His will but God’s will be done. God’s will is for him to suffer and he did suffer. His prayer, nevertheless, strengthened Him.”

How can I not share  that beautiful write-up with you.

In addition, another comment reads:

“I think the statement on ‘being like a child’ to enter the Kingdom of God, could be referred to here. Trusting God like a baby would, his/her mum/dad, relying on what they decided is best, is the safest course of action. Blabbering about stuff you assumed is best for you rather than praising God and working hard to be in tune with Him, could lead to confusion, frustration and even mental health issues.

How do you know when to stop asking for more? Leaving your destiny in God’s hands does not imply endorsement of laziness, it means going about your business with a confidence for success and not in fear of failure. It means accepting defeat and disappointment without breaking down, because you believe you’re not entirely in charge. It’s a highly liberating way to live and operate. Of course, you have to be contented with the barest necessities, rather irrelevant lifestyle.”

Over to youā€¦

What do you think?

Do have a blessed day ā˜ŗļøIf you like this post, please comment, share and subscribe to my blog.

The Beauty of the Season of Lent

Lent is a time to reflect more, fast and pray more. You commit all that bothers you and the remainder of the year to God.

Hope you have been well and good?

How has the past weeks been for you?

It’s the last week in lent and I want to remind you of the beauty of this season.

As it gradually comes to an end, it is important that we reflect, pray and mend our ways with God.

May we trust God with all that bothers us.

This is the time to strengthen our relationship with Him.

Try fasting. It works wonders.

Fast and pray. Cry into God if you have to.

Pray like you depend on Him.

It is a good time of the year too as you can be rest assured the remainder of the year has been taken care of spiritually.

If you struggle with time for church or lone time? Then use YouTube.

You can watch and participate in the stations of the cross.

The a decade of the rosary don’t last more than 15minutes.

It is a common practice to fast and pray mainly on Wednesdays and Fridays during Lent, are you doing that?

Are you joining your brethren in this communal and powerful practice?

I recalled when I almost has ulcer, I refrained from going to anyone to avoid them giving me unwanted diagnosisā˜ŗļø

You can watch on TV too.

What’s your excuse now?

For for all that concerns you.

Pray for your family.

Pray for all that you care about.

Pray for all you want to achieve.

Ask and the universe listens.

May the God who knows all and sees all grant all your heart desires šŸ™šŸ½

Have a blessed holy week

Easter Triduum starts tomorrow.

God is Love ā¤ļø

Love yourself.

Look out for your soul.

May this coming Easter celebration meet you at the point of your needs.

How To Become A UK Registered Nurse: Simplified

These are practical guide on how an international nurse (e.g. a Nigerian trained nurse) can become a registered nurse and practise in the UK. There are better job opportunities in the UK.

For most nurses in Nigeria, traveling abroad to practice as a nurse will mark the peak of their career. It will make a difference in their practice, learning and improve their income.

As a registered UK nurse, I will simplify this post in manner that anyone who have longed to  take those bold and brilliant steps can go ahead and do it.

People have done it in the past and so can you.

Things you need to do:

1. You need an international passport

Apply for this if you do not already have a valid one. Ask for the booklet availablity and duration of processing before you do so as collection dates trends to differ in different cities.

2. Prepare and write IELTS/OET exam

This can be started as soon as possible because an acceptable result is needed to initiate the process.

–  International English Language Testing System (IELTS) – You will need to have an overall score of 7.
For each section,  a minimum of:
Listening -7.0
Writing – 6.5
Reading – 7.0
Speaking – 7.0

– Occupation English Test (OET) – You will need a  the following grades; Reading – B, Writing – C+, Listening – B, Speaking- B.

Both exam result can be achieved in two sittings.

This information can be found on NMC UK page here.

3. Create an NMC UK account
This can be done here.

The cost of IELTS is about #75,000 while OET is about #200,00.
I was meant to understand that OET is much easier to pass. Possibly that explains the higher price.

4. Make a payment of Ā£140 using a Mastercard. Afterwards upload the following:
– Data page of your international passport
– Nursing Certificate.
– IElTS/ OET result( this is optional at this point).

Progress can be monitored through your personal NMC portal.

5. Pay #17,500 on remitta. If you don’t live in Abuja, pay online and get someone to help you submit it. Otherwise, you can easily pay online or in a bank.

6. Send the following to NMC Nigeria in Abuja:
– Certificate
– Nursing license (front and back)
– Letter for verification and good standing; including your CRM number.
This number is found on the NMCUK Ā£140 payment confirmation letter. The letter should state clearly what it wants from NMCN (request for a verification and good standing).
– Birth certificate
The wait to be verified. Thus can take weeks or can be facilitated.

7. Get an authorization to test email from Pearson to book CBT.

Pearson is an organisation that handles CBT.

8. Book for the CBT and write the exam.

It cost about Ā£83. This can be done here via voucher here.

9. Complete ALL the forms from NMC UK.

Your IELTS /OET test result is mandatory at this point.

10. Make a final registration fee of Ā£153 to NMC UK.

This is for your UK Nursing pin number; more like your license to practise in the UK.
Then wait for NMC Ng to complete your good standing.

11. Begin looking for jobs.

Use popular job sites like NHSJobs, Tracjobs and indeed.co.uk for hospital jobs. Care home jobs can be found here.
For someone that wants to learn more or for better career development, you should go for hospital jobs. Otherwise, just get to be a registered nurse in the UK and that’s it.

12. Read job offers carefully.

When you get offers, carefully read it before signing. Then send it back to the recruiter.
Do not accept so many offers at the same time.

If you apply directly, then know that you are to fund your visa and ticket fees. This is not the case for some, who use agencies and the agencies make an upfront payment for them.

Do know that agencies are available and not cheap.

13. Wait for Certificate of sponsorship (COS).

This replaces documents such as bank statements that those who have applied directly would have to submit for visa. It shows someone will be sponsoring your stay in the UK.

The COS contains an employment start date. Make sure you don’t have 2 recruiters processing this for you to avoid having problems with the UK home office. Besides, it will be unfair the other recruiter that won’t be needed.

14. Have a discussion with the recruiter, hospital or agency and make an appointment for your visa application.
You can buy your ticket.

Other protocols such as : tuberculosis test, police clearance follows.

15. Objective structured clinical examination (Osce) Exam in the UK:
This is the last stage. It is written in few Universities in the UK. Some hospitals do offer to support with OSCE preparation. Do consider this during job application and whilst accepting offers.

Recently, I ran into a newly qualified UKRN as she thanked one of the tutors that helped her and her colleagues prepare for their OSCE exam.

Lastly upon the successful completion of the OSCE, the applicant goes from a Band 3/4 healthcare assistant to a band 5 UK registered nurse.

Thanks for making it this far.

Key Things To Do To Ascertain A Productive Year

Nothing that good happens by chance all the time. Have plans and make the most of your year. Try the things mentioned and be proud of yourself.

We are already in the second month of the year. Isn’t it amazing how a month some days are already gone?

Some of us are yet to figure out what to do or to expect this year. So, how has the year been so far for you?

Most times, some people will be quick to say “I do I don’t do new year resolutions.” That’s ok if you feel like saying so.

However, does that mean you do not have any expectation(s) for the year? Are there no targets you want to hit in an entire year?

I believe one can achieve a lot only when they have painstakingly thought about them and then work towards them. Not everything is to be left to chance.

There are things I will recommend you do for a  productive year. This isn’t in any way an exhaustive list and is in no particular order.

1. Read books:

There is no limit to the amount of knowledge you can gain. Gaining more knowledge is an empowering tool. You want to be versed in the field you are in. Be intentional about the books you read too. Ensure you have inspirational books and success books handy.

Read biographies of successful people you admire or those you consider as your role models. Feed your brain with the kind of knowledge it deserves.

2. Learn a skill:

This can be a digital skill preferably. There are a lot to learn. You need to take up something new. Challenge yourself.
If you have been doing something on a low key, up your game now. Take up both free and paid courses. Look up courses that aligns with that the things you are currently doing and those you want to explore.

3. Have multiple sources of income:

Do not be dependent on one job only for your earnings. Little income from here and there can help offset some bills. Explore many ideas and opportunities that present themselves. If you are online most times, do try affiliate marketing. You get to learn in the process too and possibly build your own brand afterwards if you wish. Explore remote job sites like Fiverr, Upwork and Appen.

4. Cryptocurrency:

Do some reading and begin buying some coins. The world is evolving and so should you to. Take up courses especially if you are interested in trading. You can start with exploring exchanges such as Binance, kucoin, and coinbase. Otherwise, you can buy some coins with prospects and hold onto them (hodl). If you have the money go for all time highs like Bitcoin, Ethereum etc. They can be bought in fractions too. Do not trade with urgent money like rent or school fees. Trading can be risky. Please, do your own research.

5. Be more visible on social media:

Try to promote yourself of what you do on different media platforms. Try to be very active on at least one of them. Be intentional about your time online. If you are a vendor or want to explore any line of business or freelance, do post about it and gradually build your brand. Different businesses, brands, authors and celebrities have been using this to gain more followers and influence. Try this for yourself.

6. Heal:

This isn’t applicable to everybody but to many. If there’s is something that has been bothering you, embrace it. You can confide in a counsellor or a priest. Speak to someone who wouldn’t judge you. You need to free yourself. There isn’t anything that has never been heard before. Do this for your overall well-being and peace of mind. Be at peace with yourself.

7. Pray in and out of season:

I cannot write all these without mentioning prayer. Have a good praying habit. This is important especially,  you are the religious type. Master the act of committing all that concerns you in God’s hands. Pray for your family and friends, for your work and life goals. Prayers come with some kind of hope and peace; even when you face challenges.

For the religious types, write down all your goals. You can paste the list on your wall where you can easily see it. This can be replicated same on a vision board too.

In summary, a productive year begins with a plan, right mindset on hope to achieve them.

I hope you find this post valuable.

God is Love

When life challenges happen, be consoled. Have some faith knowing that love conquers all.

I love yesterday’s reading.

All of it.

The popular verses we hear often were read in churches.

Isn’t it amazing to know that God already knew all of us before we began to exist?

He knew what we currently are and all we are yet to become.

We are prophets! This isn’t the first time the scripture refers to us as prophets.

By baptism, we are made prophets.

So, look deep down and ask yourself if you are in anyway serving this purpose?

Before I digress, the other popular verse was center bout love. This verse was used mostly on valentine’s day or birthday Cards.

“Love is patient, love is kind.
It is not jealous, it is not pompous,
It is not inflated, it is not rude,
it does not seek its own interests,
it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury,
it does not rejoice over wrongdoing
but rejoices with the truth.

It bears all things, believes all things,
hopes all things, endures all things.
Love never fails.”

They sound so familiar right?
Who doesn’t love love?

In marriages, patience will be tested over and over again.

You will have to become resilient. You will be offended countless times.

Yet, you need to trust your spouse.

Then, we are reminded that Love never fails.

This same love rekindles trust.

It is important that we know that we have religion for consolation.

When life throws it’s pains and sorrows, we need some consolation.

Religion is there to see us through it all.

For relationships and marriages experiencing difficult times, may your love for another never end.

May our faith bring us comfort and consolation despite challenges.

God is Love.

Glow Effortlessly

With the right products, you can achieve a healthy looking and glowing skin. #Beauficial got you.

Glow effortlessly

It is obvious most women love to glow. The flawless look speaks volume on it own.

I will share with you briefly how I have been able to achieve this. Well, I know so.

Back in the days; in my late teens,  I was artistic with my brows. I would draw all manner of lines

Looking back, I’m so pleased I did them at those times. However, it never lasted long as I out grew that quickly.

For years now, I don’t even give a damn about eyebrows, would only go for threading once in a while, nothing more. For some reasons, I look so different when the brows are done (drawn and all that).

All these years, I have not been the heavy makeup type too.

However, I realise I need to take care of my skin in addition to monitoring what I eat.

I love natural look and it was important to me that I can wear my face most times without makeup. Just a dash of a lipgloss and off I go.

Prior to now, I would think anti-aging and anti wrinkle products are for very old people but I know better now.

I sought for products and got what I needed to ensure a healthy and glowing skin. I got to know about SPF 30 products and all.

Then when I came across BeauFicial products and how authentic they are, I knew I need to add them to my skin care routine. I spent time on the page for more information and the brain behind it.

I hardly switch products but after reading the contents of their various skincare products I knew I will be using them for a long time.

I love those products.

The masks are lovely and your skin feels so different just on first application.

They have bundle packages; it comprises of different products at a cheaper rate.

The organic nature of these products is what I love most.

Is Christmas celebration personal?

It is a beautiful time and we all need to celebrate regardless.

A chat with someone made me realise that some people can see Christmas differently.

Whatever the situation is…

Endeavour to find a reason to be happy this season.

It is about remembering and celebrating Christ’s birth.

Do not take it personal.

Celebrate regardless of your circumstances.

This will soon pass.

Does not celebrating solve all your problems?

Why not enjoy while the universe does?

You know …

There is always problems.

This isn’t the time to dwell on them.

Just let them be and enjoy.

Make merry now and get back to your reality later.

If you are a Christian, you have no excuse.

…except, someone needs to explain to you this aspect of Christianity.
