Hello Lovely People, like I already hinted in the previous post Happiness At Last is One year old today. More like, it’s one year since I became a published author. I truly feel accomplished. I can’t tell you exactly how much this means to me.

Over the past months, I have learnt more in regards to publishing a book. The amount of time spent in writing the story, correcting and rewriting are huge tasks but then come the promotion bit.

In my opinion, book promotion is the tricky part. When no one knows you, you literally have to put more effort to get your book across to so many people. For instance, if Michelle Obama and the likes can organise a pre book launch tours and spends millions of dollars in book promotion what more can be said about the essence of book promotion but obviously not every can afford that.

Nevertheless, I must admit I’m using various social media platforms to publicise my work. I’ve done some advertising too. I will like you to help me by sharing this link with your friends.

On a good note, I’ve independently republished Happiness At Last. It is available in Amazon for purchase. I will talk about this in more depth on a different post. It took me months and some investigations but I eventually did it. Yep!

Try to focus on why you embarked on that very journey.

Only you can tell they story.

Not everyone will understand even when you try to explain to them.

Do you really need to explain yourself to others?

Were you going to answer that?

I do not need an answer to that at all.

People will advice you;

Be it positively or negatively

But you’ve got to know what you truly want in order to be able to discern a wrong advice.

A good advice can bring out the best in you.

At same time, some advice can influence you negatively.

It can make you lose focus completely.

Do not always allow people influence your decisions about your life and your future because you are the only one who genuinely knows what you desire.

Happy for a Friend

Let me gist you, it’s about a friend that I have known for some time now. She is lovely, kind, caring and an atheist.

At first, it baffled me how she simply do not believe in God and possesses lots of qualities I admire.

I have tried to talk her through religion and other things I think she ought to know about God. Having said that, I was very courteous because I did want to loose a friend in the course of doing that.

Within me, as a Christian I owe it to myself to evangelise but I do not want to overdo it either.

She was honest with me and told me how her parents are not any religious either. I let her be at that time.

Then came New Year’s Day 2019. We were chatting and she told me she went to the church the previous night.

“Like seriously?” I asked. She mentioned having been there with a friend awhile ago and for some strange reason different people mentioned that same church three times within a week and she thought it was meant for her to go there this time.

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. I was more than pleased. It made my day.

I simply told her that the year have started on a good note. I am very happy for her.

I pray she continually feels motivated to go to Church in order to know and seek God more.

On a different note, hope you are getting the hang of January 2019.

Have a beautiful Christmas celebration

Last week, I attended a friend’s party and I can’t begin to tell you how much joy and happiness I perceived from various guests.

It reminded me of the essence of leaving out work to simply make merry with colleagues and friend. It was so much fun and I’m glad I attended it.

On that same good spirit, I sincerely thank you for being with me in this blog, so far.

I wish you greater milestones.

Some Decency please

The other day while in the train, a lady sat just opposite me with all her inner wears on display.

Apparently, her legs were close but her dress was very short and simply placed at the uppermost part of her thigh. Looking at her felt like an eyesore because she was just there in front of me and you are seeing things you don’t wanna see.

It was a hardwork.

I don’t know what most people normally think about when they wear such revealing clothes. The colours of what this particular lady was wearing didn’t not help at all.

Nowadays, it’s almost part of the norm to have breasts on display. I can tell you my eyes are almost used to it. It’s practically everyday occurrence but panties on display too?

Nah! It doesn’t look or sound any good at all.

My plea to anyone reading this post is to encourage some modesty and decency especially this festive period. You never know, you can save a soul.

If someone is attracted to you they will find you regardless of the degree of nudity you exhibit.

This brings me to asking, What does decency mean to you?

How will the younger generation differentiate right from wrong if not taught correctly?

I will like to know answers.

Believe God

In times of trials, disappointments, difficulties, struggles and pain, God is present. He can see all tears, Weakness, fears but wants man to cry to him.

God wants us to realise that life without him is worthless. Life without God is tragedy.

Hold God by his words. When you have that pressing need, pray till the heavens let loose and bless you. All you need to do is have faith.

God allowed 3 days to raise Lazarus from the dead, he allowed Daniel to fall into the lions den.

What is it that you think God cannot handle?

He creates situations before he reveals his glory.

Trust God to see you through.

The future is in God’s hands.

Mixed Blessings from a Cambridge Union: A book

It was an honour meeting a great talent and an industrious woman.

Attending “In Conversation with Elizabeth ” at the city hall reminded me how much our our stories shape us.

She had accomplished so much as a person and career wise.

Her book “Mixed Blessing from a Cambridge Union” is a great read.It is beautifully written. I can confidently tell my fellow Nigerians know how to deliver a neat job😄

Flipping through pages introduced me to who she really is. It is very important that stories of racial injustice are told for people to learn and most importantly prevent such occurrences. You are truly a blessing to this generation.

I am truly touched and inspired by her story and her works.
